The 2024 Mayor Marion S. Barry Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) provides young people aged 14-24 in Washington, D.C. with valuable work experience, career exploration opportunities, and skills development during the summer months. The program aims to empower youth by connecting them with local businesses, government agencies, and non-profit organizations, fostering personal growth and preparing them for future career success. Participants gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and the chance to contribute to their communities, all while earning a stipend. Students can opt to participate virtually or in person.
